No Work, No Eat : A Caloric Truth

It was a high-carb vegetarian day. I spent the whole day struggling with WordPress, to fix up this blog to be a multi-language site. At first I thought it would take just a few hours but in fact it took me more than 12 hours. I got worn out.
We call “office work” or “desk work” but a work should include some kind of physical activities. I use my brain a lot when I fell trees because it can kill me if I underestimate the weight of woods or miscalculate the leaning direction. I use both my brain and body. I think that is how human body supposed to function. If you use only your brain in a sedentary lifestyle, you’d lose balance – like me today or I was in the past.
Whatever diet you choose, if you take calories more than you spend, you’d get fat. Surely our brain also consume calories. But our conscious effort to think more (to lose weight) can make no significant difference in energy consumption of our brain activity. I guess that is because most of our brain activities are done in our unconscious zone.
We have to move our body. Or rather, we are eating to move our body. Foods are fuels of our body. Keep on filling up fuel while you don’t burn them, you’d be sick. “No work, no eat” is actually an advice for your health.
