Salt and Sugar Are Independent Foods

The Flesh x Fresh Diet is a strange diet. Since we are basically raw foodists, we rarely cook; we use neither sugar or salt as additives. Even when we cook, we don’t use them in many cases. I roast lamb without salt and any other seasonings because lamb in itself has a enough flavor. Adding salt would ruin it.
Thus we don’t take salt as an additive. However, we are taking considerable amount of salt everyday as I am reporting in this daily log. Why? Because we are taking a dozen glasses of salt water everyday. We are taking salt as salt. We enjoy the taste of salt alone.
I can say the same thing about sugar. We don’t use sugar as sweetener to make other foods sweet. We taste each food as it is. I believe that any foods that does not taste good by itself are not suitable for human consumption. You shouldn’t eat it by cheating your sense of taste with salt and sugar. Does it taste good to eat rice or bread without salt? As for bread, you can’t even bake it unless you add salt. That is why I don’t think grains are human foods.
Anyway, we don’t use sugar as sweetener but we eat sugar as sugar, in the form of Cocto-X. For confirmation I should mention that we never use refined sugar under any circumstances. We use whole cane sugar made in Okinawa.
The Flesh x Fresh Diet is:
– salt-free but you can have salt as much as you like, and
– sugar-free but you can have sugar as much as you like
as far as water is taken in a proper proportion (ORS ratio) to them.
